COMPANY PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS

There are many standard promotional methods that you may want to use from time to time. The list includes many forms of promoting and advertising your company, like the phone book, signage for your autos or fleet, sponsorship of a sports event or team, and Internet promotion such as web positioning with Google or Looksmart, which all pay great returns if used properly. You can have promotional materials from hats to coffee mugs to keep your name in front of the customer. Keeping involved in new and cost-effective ideas takes work, but there is a payoff in increased sales or more business. Promotional ideas are a company-wide endeavor; promotion to customers and with staff can all have a positive impact on your business. Consider some new promotional ideas like, "Thanks a Million Vacation" where you offer a premium vacation for the largest increase in sales.

DIRECT MAIL PROMOTIONS

Promotional Puzzle

Promotional efforts can be fun and imaginative. Here is one of our promotional tools designed for a client. This was part of a direct mail campaign to build company awareness and to attract new customers. A promotional puzzle was created with our client's message and contact information on the puzzle pieces. The puzzles were sent to a target market with a limited number of selected prospects. The puzzle was disassembled and placed in a plain brown 4x4 inch box without a return address; it was directed to the Operations Manager of the target company.

Our research found that when the prospects received the package without identifiable contact information, a high percentage of them put the puzzle together immediately. Many of those who later said they had set the brainteaser aside remarked that curiosity got the better of them within a short time period. The real bonus of this campaign was that many of the managers repackaged the puzzle and put it on a co-workers desk to see what they would do with this mystery. Our client received many complimentary phone calls from the prospects to congratulate them on a great, enjoyable marketing tool. More than thirty percent of the customers that received this promotion ordered new products from the vendor.

Direct Mail Post Cards

This is 'Direct Mail' with a high tech twist. Use post cards, or specially designed cards to inform your customers of specific events and accomplishments of your business. This promotional tool is one of the best ways to let existing customers know when you are having a sale. This type of direct mail is very cost-effective because of the reduced post card cost when compared with regular mail. Research has shown that the post card is seen by several people at the target company. Post cards get immediate attention because there is nothing to open and it does not appear like 'junk mail.' With the right message this campaign can get results at a low cost.
