Would You Like to Have More Sales?

Dart board: aim for sales

Capacity for Growth

When a company owner is asked the question, "Would you like to have more sales?," the answer is invariably "YES." The real question should be, "Does your company have the capacity to handle additional sales?" Increasing sales is often easier than increasing capacity for the sales.

The first task is to estimate the present capacity of the company. List the personnel needed, complete with their job descriptions, to increase in the following increments: 20%, 30%, 50%, 60%, 80%, and 100%. What additional equipment and/or capital improvements are needed to reach higher capacity? To maintain consistent customer service with an increase in sales, what is needed? Product levels must be a concern. Can your current vendor increase your orders and handle an adequate delivery schedule? These areas must be examined before you turn the green light on for increasing sales.

Increasing the volume of new sales does not mean more profitability. Extreme caution must be taken in this endeavor and inspecting profits has to be performed on a regular basis when starting an emphasis on growing your sales. A well-trained and properly motivated sales team with a professionally designed marketing plan is the key to success. How well your team interacts with customers before, during and after the sale will determine how quickly your profits will rise.

First consider the others ways a company can increase profits:

Improving Operations

Streamlining operations and improving tracking can lead to real savings that increases profits by reducing overhead, and in some cases, by reducing labor costs by saving time. Sales Creators can help you identify the problem area in your budget and operational system.

Increasing Effectiveness

The more effective a company's methods and systems are, the greater the profit will be. Sometimes all it takes is a little adjusting or 'tweaking' to make a program more effective. Other times it takes implementation of an entirely different system. Either way, we can help you get more out of your expenditures of time and money.

More Effective Marketing and Branding

Marketing may be the foundation - it lets your customer know what your company's purpose is and the products and services it offers. Branding is marketing as an art form. From logos, business cards, letterhead, to advertising of all types - print, radio, television, direct marketing and web sites - everything has to work together as a unit. The communication must be seamless as a single message that is clear and concise to your market. Sale Creators can create campaigns and help you synergize your marketing and branding to create an image that makes people want to do business with your company.
